About the Artist

Shawna Pincus is a ceramic artist

living in Baltimore Maryland

with her husband Michael and

their two cats. She grew up right

outside of Philadelphia and went

to school at the Maryland

Institute College of Art where

she earned a BFA in sculpture.

Once she graduated she decided

to go into teaching and earned

a teaching certification from Towson University. Shawna taught in the Maryland Public Schools for 5 years before deciding to turn her dream of pottery into her full time passion. Other than creating pots, Shawna enjoys cooking, sipping a hot cup of tea, having new adventures with her husband and traveling to see as much of this world as possible.
